White Collar Defense &
Government Investigations
Frohsin & Barger’s white collar criminal defense team is led by Henry Frohsin, a nationally recognized trial lawyer with more than 40 years of courtroom experience—as an Assistant Judge Advocate for the U.S. Army, a federal prosecutor for 15 years and a private defense attorney for more than 20 years. Before co-founding Frohsin & Barger, Henry chaired the litigation department of a major Southern law firm. Frohsin & Barger’s tight-knit trial team works together to handle all aspects of a government investigation: private independent investigations, execution of search warrants and government raids, parallel civil litigation, forfeiture, trial, and appeal.
Henry and founding co-partner, Jim Barger, are the only attorneys in the country to win a criminal arms export trial during the era of the Patriot Act. In the highly publicized case of United States v. Latifi, the trial team not only succeeded in securing a full acquittal but was also able to secure an unprecedented award of attorneys' fees against the federal government. Frohsin & Barger’s proudest achievements for its white collar criminal clients, however, are the cases that no one ever hears about. While Frohsin & Barger is comprised of seasoned courtroom attorneys, the firm understands and believes that the best way to represent its clients is to defeat a prosecution before it begins—by thoroughly investigating and convincing prosecutors not to seek an indictment or by quietly resolving allegations through civil, rather than criminal, measures.
Frohsin & Barger also often employs a team of outside experts, private investigators, handwriting analysts, and forensic accountants, most of whom are former FBI and other federal agents.
